They are non-fossil fuels, and are divided into several categories: biofuels (produced from biological sources such as biomass), and e-fuels, produced from electricity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:24px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cover has-white-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-8dad3c4f2dc0788bde7da2f8bb05b7bc\" style=\"min-height:100px;aspect-ratio:unset;\"><span aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-cover__background has-background-dim-100 has-background-dim\" style=\"background-color:#6d3e91\"><\/span><div class=\"wp-block-cover__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-cover-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p>FRANCE KEREAUZEN anticipates two European regulatory obligations of 2023, applicable as soon as 2030:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The RED III directive calls for 42.5% renewable energies in general consumption by 2030, including 14.5% in transport and 5.5% in aviation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The ReFuelEU Aviation regulation calls for a minimum rate of sustainable aviation fuel from 2025 (2%) and sustainable aviation e-fuels from 2030 (1.2%). By 2050, these requirements will rise to 70% and 35% respectively.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">ENGIE, the project sponsor<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>ENGIE is a leading French industrial group in the energy transition and the production of renewable and low-carbon energies. Its 96,000 employees are committed every day to accelerating the transition to a low-carbon world through energy-efficient and environmentally-friendly solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2023, ENGIE won HAROPA PORT&#8217;s \u201cGrand Canal du Havre\u201d tender to develop FRANCE KEREAUZEN. economy approach: every year, it will recycle 290,000 tonnes of CO2 from the Le Havre industrial basin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hydrogen and waste heat will also be exchanged with local manufacturers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, ENGIE will reuse numerous existing infrastructures to minimize the project&#8217;s carbon footprint: rail, roads, Trapil pipelines and
