class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>e-kerosene, intended for air transport, will be mixed with traditional kerosene and used on current aircraft.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>e-naphtha will be sold to the plastics and a heating network<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How are e-fuels produced?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Converting CO\u2082 into synthetic kerosene requires mastering the integration of complex processes, from CO\u2082 conversion through to the final fuel, in particular:<br>\u2013 The rWGS (reverse water gas shift) reaction, a chemical reaction that uses part of the hydrogen produced by the project<br>\u2013 Fischer\u2013Tropsch synthesis, which produces synthetic hydrocarbons<br>\u2013 Refining and hydrocracking steps, which in particular enable the fuel to meet aviation specifications been established with Shell Catalysts &amp; Technologies to access to its power-to-liquids technology, which will enable the conversion of CO\u2082 into synthetic kerosene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This will allow the project to rely both on proven industrial expertise in gas-to-liquids processes and on Shell Group\u2019s operational excellence, which are essential to ensure industrial scale-up and to secure the plant\u2019s performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2705 For an innovative project like France KerEAUzen, this partnership represents a real guarantee of robustness and technical credibility.
